Jesus is the best and ultimate model of service; He came to serve so that those He served would be better. Following Jesus is a call to a life of service. Feel free to talk with a church leader in how you could serve Jesus.
Serve at Clifton
Numerous opportunities are available to serve God in our campus, depending on your talents and skill sets. You could become a prayer warrior, praying for God’s glory to be present on campus, smile radiantly, help beautify the campus, keep the place clean, greet people, volunteer in teaching and assisting in classes at church or school, fix plumbing and electrical issues, help with treasury, help with childcare and/or children’s church, prepare bulletins, keep the campus safe, decorate the sanctuary, park cars for the elderly, serve with the audio-visual team, work with social media and/or marketing, etc. Whatever talent you feel God has blessed you with can be used for His glory.
Serve our city
You could be a prayer partner, praying regularly for God’s blessing and protection over our city and suburbs, volunteer in a homeless shelter or home for disadvantaged women/men, pick up trash in neighborhoods, give away food and water to those in need, listen to and pray with those hurting, bring cheer to those in nursing/retirement homes, appreciate our firefighters, etc. Let God use your heart and hands to make our community better through you.
Serve the world
Pray for the world- the pain and suffering people endure, and that the nations would respond to the loving promptings of the Holy Spirit. In your church and community, befriend folk from various countries and pray with them, consider short and long-term mission projects, cheerfully give offerings that help missionaries share Christ’s love in global corners, be environmentally friendly, etc. See the world through the eyes of God- after all, it is His planet.
