Stuck or Unstuck

When your mind is not actively engaged with your present situation (life, studies, or occupation), where does it dwell predominantly? According to the Bible, God does not keep bringing up your past (Isaiah 43: 25: I wipe away your sins because of who I AM. And so, I will forget the wrongs you have done.) Could it then be that it is God’s enemy who is bringing up your past in your mind? One Bible student said that when the devil doesn’t have fresh issues to trouble you with, he brings up your old problems. If so, you must decide daily if you want to be unstuck from your past to forge ahead into a better future, or, remain stuck in old hurts, failures, and regrets, and be a crestfallen mess.Thankfully, God is always on the move (Isaiah 43: 18,19: Forget what happened long ago! Don’t brood over the past. I am creating something new.). If He didn’t, each human would be a miserable wretch. If God can be trusted, then, the best way to get unstuck from your past is to walk with God CONTINUALLY. He does not circle back to “But, remember when. . . . .?”O, the joys of UNBROKEN communion with God! Then, you’ll leave your past with Him, and jubilantly march into fresh expressions of life and experience peace (John 14:27: I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.) and rest (Matthew 11:28: Come to me, all you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest.) that He has promised and provided all His walking buddies 😊–Jeba Moses
