Good morning, friend!
Recently, I have been working on a new habit which gives me a boost to my morning routines, and invite you to try this simple, tiny habit. (It’s done in bed, so no excuses😊)

I have been practicing deep breathing. Before getting out of bed in the morning, I lay straight, on my back, and breathe. . . .deeply. Intentionally take in a long, slow breath, and feel the abdominal cavity fill up. Hold the breath for two seconds, and then breathe out, slowly, pushing as much air out of my lungs as possible. Repeat again. Seven times. Try it. The experience is invigorating. (According to Google, deep breathing decreases stress, increases calmness, relieves pain, detoxifies the body, improves immunity, increases energy, lowers blood pressure, improves digestion, etc.)

Few days ago, as I was practicing this routine, the Lord asked if I would invite Him, likewise, into my life as I began my day. God the Holy Spirit is compared to the wind (John 3:8), and if I invite Him to fill me, like fresh, deep breath, the experience would be invigorating. So, in keeping with God’s instruction (Ephesians 5:18), as I do my deep breathing first thing in the morning, I invite the Holy Spirit to take over the seven core areas of my life, in order – thoughts, agenda, desires, attitudes, words, actions, and reactions.

Try it. Taste the experience. Your life would be transformed, for to be filled with the Holy Spirit will make your relationship with the Lord Jesus a continual and deepening experience. And isn’t that what your soul longs for?🙏

Grace and peace! —
Jeba Moses
