Vaccine or No Vaccine?

Good morning family!

Vaccine or no vaccine? Is that the question for 2021?

You might have witnessed people passionately discussing this topic lately. I have listened to strong opinions in favor of vaccines and against them. Proponents on both sides have found support from the scientific community, from the faith community, and yes, from the almighty social media community.

So what?

Whether you choose to be vaccinated or not, may I invite those among us who have chosen to be followers of the Lord Jesus to be always respectful of the others’ viewpoint? After all, only God knows for sure, and time will tell, if your point of view is correct. Please remember to hold your viewpoint as an opinion, not as a conviction. You see, truth can take care of itself. It can stand its ground. Let’s not mess it up.

And, when God’s people tend to get excited about personal opinions, they do well to remember the counsel of God’s Word:

The Lord Jesus: Treat others as you want others to treat you. This is what the Law and the Prophets are all about. (Matthew 7: 12)

Apostle Paul: God loves you and has chosen you as His own people. So, be gentle, kind, humble, meek, and patient. (Colossians 3:12)

Apostle James: My dear friends: you should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slower to get angry. (James 1: 19)

Apostle Peter: Respect everyone, and show special love for God’s people. Fear God and honor the king. (I Peter 2: 17).

Vaccine or no vaccine? That’s not the big question. Whether you have accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life. . . .that is the critical, ultimate question.

(PS: Whether you get the vaccine or not, Jesus loves you. I do too.)
